Description
Luxurious, chic and versatile, velvet is a versatile fabric ideal for fashion and furnishings due to its exceptional softness. It's an excellent choice for cushions that you can snuggle up to!
Our Velvet is excellent for linings, dressmaking and a whole range of crafting and homeware projects such as lampshades, cushions, curtains, and even sofas.
Surface Texture
This fabric has a short, dense pile that is sleek and nice to touch on the reverse and the fabric is white and woven tightly with no pile.
Print process
We use sublimation printing to produce fine details and true colours. The print is high definition but has a softened quality from the textured surface. The short pile recovers well from manipulation without the print being affected. When you print on velvet fabric, the design is sharp with clear details and a consistent print. Your design will be mostly matte but with a very slight shine, putting the spotlight entirely on your artwork. The print becomes part of the fabric, so the velvet pile is as soft as ever.

Care Instructions
Wash at 30°C; low tumble dry heat, hang to dry, do not wring, low heat iron.
Shrinkage
Just like many fabric printing processes, there is the potential for shrinkage. Please expect and allow 2-8% shrinkage, which you need to plan for in your dimensions. This percentage can vary from print run to print run and between fabrics, so we advise ordering a little more material than you require for your project.
Preparing your artwork
When the fabric is heated and calendared, it can shrink between (2-8%), so please consider this when supplying your artwork to us.
If you need a precise size, we need the artwork to be slightly bigger.
