The organic shape of our Stacked Sphere Table Lamp is created from a pile of four hand-carved natural mango wood spheres and is supplied unfinished for you to quickly wax, stain, lacquer or paint to the colour of choice.
Or you can create your own finish like a distressed look which is used to make new furniture appear old and aged.

The Stacked Sphere is currently fashionable when painted with primary colours red, green, blue and yellow.

The lamp has a brass switched lamp holder and a 3pin plug and is thoroughly pre-tested for electrical safety

About Mango Wood
Mango Wood is a hardwood with stunning natural grain patterns and markings that can be enhanced beautifully with various stains and waxes. It is a sustainable alternative wood source to traditional furniture materials like Oak and Maple 

Why Is Mango Wood Sustainable?
Mango Wood is grown in India and is a by-product of Mango fruit.
Unlike the giant towering oaks of North America and Europe that can take 50-100 years to mature, Mango trees grow quickly, reaching 80-100 feet in around 15 years. Once the trees stop bearing fruit altogether, they are harvested for timber, and a new generation of trees is planted, so they are completely sustainable.

How to Finish your Table Lamp

Waxing

Finish the lamp base using BRIWAX The natural wood finishing treatment for all types of wood.
Available in clear, which maintains the natural colour of the wood, and 13 wood shades to stain and wax in one operation.
Apply with steel wool, brush, or you can use a cloth.

Painting
We supply a great range of paints which can be used to paint your lamp base, Including Ronseal Chalk Paint, Acrylic, and also Metallic Gold & Silver Sprays.

Danish Oil
Gives a low lustre finish. It is easy to use wipe on finish, which brings out the beauty of timber and provides a natural open grained soft, lustrous finish. Excellent on turned woodwork like these lamp bases.
