These pre-cut panels are the perfect solution for creating unique and eye-catching lampshades. Made from sturdy, 300-micron thick PVC, these self-adhesive panels have been specially designed for use with our 12.5cm duplex ring; simplifying the assembly process while also making the lampshades suitable for use on table/floor lamps or pendant lights.

Instructions

To make your own 17cm-high custom scallop edge lampshade, all you need is this panel and the following components:

• 12.5cm Duplex Ring
• Paper or fabric with a minimum size of 70cm x 35cm
• A 3-metre roll of 9mm width double-sided tape

Due to the rounded edges, there is a higher likelihood of fabric fraying therefore we recommend adding 16mm bias binding applied with 6mm double-sided adhesive tape. This will keep the edges tidy and give your lampshade a professional finish.

The completed lampshade will have the following dimensions:

• 12.5cm Top Diameter
• 21cm Bottom Diameter
• 17cm Height

Installing Your Lampshade:

Depending on where you would like to install the lampshade, additional convertors or adaptors may be required.

• Table or Floor lamps: To use the finished lampshade with a table lamp, an additional Shade Carrier may be required. We recommend a 3-inch or 4-inch Shade Carrier for this size of lampshade. For more information, view our Shade Carrier explainer on our blog.
• Pendant (Ceiling) lights: If you wish to attach the lampshade to a Pendant (ceiling) light, you will require a Spider adaptor.
• Harp and Finial Fittings: These fittings are often found on US lamps and will require a Duplex Converting Kit to be compatible with this lampshade. This item can be purchased by following this link to the Duplex Converting Kit product page.
