Pleating Machine Operative (Fabric and Textile)
Location: Waltham Abbey, Essex.

Job Description
A vacancy has arisen for a Pleating Machine Operative. Machine pleating is a process where fabric by the roll is fed into our machines that systematically fold it to a style/pattern. The fabric is sandwiched between two layers of paper that stabilise the fabric and assist in the cutting process for our customers.
You will adjust the machine to pleat different styles, which include the following:
- Side/knife pleat
- Box pleat
- Crystal pleat
- Bamboo pleat
- Mushroom pleat
Duties:
- Setting up and operating pleater/ pleating machines
- Use measuring equipment to check dimensions.
- Meet quality expectations and inspect work for conformance.
- Perform minor machine maintenance.
- Keep the working area organised, clean, and tidy.

Requirements:
- Experience in working with Pleating or textile machinery.
- Must be physically fit as lifting is required.
We will consider applicants with experience working with machinery in the fabric and textile pleating/ garment business.
Job Type: Full or Part-time opportunity
Schedule: 8-hour shift
Salary: Starting at £23,000 per annum
