EURO to UK  Lampshade Reducer / Converter Adapter – ShadeCore®

Our premium ShadeCore® converter / Reducer Adaptor will convert Lampshades with E27 or E26 Edison Screw utility fittings to make them adapt to lamp holders with B22 Bayonet Cap or E14 Edison Screw Cap fittings.

It is an ideal solution when your chosen lampshade has a larger centre aperture than your lamp holder. Rather than replacing the shade or altering its frame, simply fit the reducer into the existing ring to create a smaller, compatible opening.

Perfect for new lampshades, handmade shades, replacement projects and imported lamp fittings, the removable adapter gives you greater flexibility when matching a lampshade to a table lamp, floor lamp or ceiling pendant.

How do I use a Converter?

1. Gently squeeze the adapter and insert it into the centre of the lampshade frame. Release it once correctly positioned, ensuring that it sits securely and evenly within the existing E27 or E26 aperture.
2. The lampshade can then be fitted to a compatible B22 Bayonet Cap or E14 Edison Screw lamp holder.

Duplex Converter Compatibility

The system includes a fitted reducer/converter adapter for UK lamp holders.
This allows the system to work with multiple common fitting types used in lampshade making.

For use with USA harp & finial fittings, converting washers can be added with the supplied adaptor system.

Important Notes

There are two standard sizes for Harp systems, 1/4" and 3/8" our Converting Washers will fit them both.
Below is a conversion chart with imperial and metric measurements.

Our system works with these sizes, but If the Harp stem is bigger, you can make the hole in the washer bigger to fit.
