9" Shade Carrier – ShadeCore®

Our premium ShadeCore® 9" (23cm) Shade Carrier is designed to connect a lampshade fitted with a standard Duplex ring to a lamp holder. It securely supports the shade while creating a 9-inch space between the lamp holder and lampshade, helping you achieve the desired height and position.

A shade carrier is used with lampshades manufactured with Duplex rings. One end attaches to the lamp holder, while the upper cradle supports the Duplex ring so the lampshade can sit securely on top. This carrier is suitable for a standard Duplex ring with an internal diameter of 107 mm.

A shade carrier is a crucial component for some lampshades as it connects a lampshade with a Duplex ring to a lamp holder. It supports the lampshade securely and determines how high the shade sits above the lamp holder.

How do I use a shade carrier?

To use, simply fit the carrier onto the lamp holder, using the supplied reducer adaptor if required. Place the lampshade’s Duplex ring into the upper cradle, then check that the shade is level and securely supported before use. Please confirm your shade-ring measurements and lamp-holder fitting before ordering.

You can use it with table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lights, and other types of interior lighting.

Shade Carrier Compatibility

The frame fits European lamp holders and includes a fitted reducer/converter adapter for UK lamp holders.
This allows the frame to work with multiple common fitting types used in lampshade making.

• B22 Bayonet Cap (UK) – adaptor fitted
• E14 Edison Screw (EU) – adaptor fitted
• E27 Edison Screw (EU) – adaptor removed
• E26 Edison Screw (US) – adaptor removed

For use with USA harp & finial fittings, converting washers can be added with the supplied adaptor system.
