8" Inch Shallow Drum - Lampshade Making Kit

Design a lampshade to match your upholstery, curtains, wallpaper or any room theme.

Our kit makes you a professional 8" inch Drum Lampshade from the covering of your choice, that can be used as a Pendant (ceiling), or with a suitable table lamp. They will connect with UK and European Lampholders or Pendant Fittings and can also be used with US Harp & Finial fittings.

What size will my covering need to be?
Your covering needs to be 27" wide x 8" High (measurements in inches)  to cover the Stick-it panel supplied 

What type of lamp holders will fit this lampshade?
The frame is manufactured to fit European lamp holders, and a Converter/Reducer Adaptor plug is supplied fitted to reduce the aperture
so it can fit UK lamp holders.

Harp & Finial Fittings
Use converting washers with the adaptor, place one underneath and one on top of the adapter to reduce the aperture further (see images).

Bulb Advice
We recommend the use of low energy bulbs with your lampshades. They use less energy and are cool to the touch, avoiding the problem of scorching shades and ceilings.

Our lampshade materials have been tested and passed the glow wire test carried out by the Lighting Association of the United Kingdom
