8 Inch Drum Lampshade Workshop Pack - 50 Units

Designed for the classroom, workshop or any group making activity these packs contain everything students need to create professional handmade lampshades using their design of choice.  From concept to completion students will enjoy the process of designing their lampshade, reflecting their ideas and inspirations in a project that will have resonance far beyond the end of the lesson.

These packs enable tutors to teach a new skill and run creative workshops, projects and events in educational and social establishments. Lampshade making will engage, excite, inspire and challenge pupils, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to experiment, invent and create their own works of art.

50x 8 inch Diameter Lampshade Ring, Epoxy Coated White
50x 8 inch Diameter Utility Ring with Euro Fitter, Epoxy Coated White
50x Converter/Adapter fitting.
100x Converting Washers.
50x Stick-it panel with kiss cuts.
50x 2 Yard rolls of 9mm Tesa Double-sided adhesive tape
50x Rolled Edge Tools for finishing
50x Comprehensive instruction sheets (A4) with colour photographs for each student

Students will each have to provide suitable fabric or wallpaper 27" wide x 8" High - sufficient to cover the adhesive panel.
The covering is then laminated by hand to the self-adhesive lampshade panel before following the step-by-step instructions to craft the lampshade. It’s a straightforward process which is highly rewarding.

Lamp Compatibility

The frames are manufactured with Euro fitters, making them suitable for use with many types of pendant lighting. The pack also includes reducer rings and convertor washers so that the finished lampshades can be used with standard Harp & Finial lamps.

Bulb Advice
We recommend the use of low energy bulbs with your lampshades. They use less energy and are cool to the touch, avoiding the problem of scorching shades and ceilings.
