What type of lampshade can you make with this ring set?

This ring set is designed for creating drum or cylindrical lampshades with straight sides, where both the top and bottom rings have the same diameter.
You can use it with table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lights, and other types of interior lighting.

Panel Size Guide

If you need to cut a lampshade panel to fit this frame, we provide a helpful size guide below.

 

To cover this frame, your panel should measure approximately 3142mm wide, plus an allowance for the seam overlap.
A standard overlap allowance of 20mm is suitable for most lampshade constructions.
However, if you plan to create a fabric-covered seam, additional material should be added to the panel to accommodate the extra overlap required.
The panel height is determined by your chosen shade height

Lampshade Panel 
We supply a 3172mm wide panel in four different heights specifically for use with this frame. Please see the related items below.

Alternatively, you can use our free online Lampshade Template Creator to design a perfectly sized panel for this frame.
Simply generate your template, print it out, and use it as an accurate cutting pattern.

Lampholder Compatibility

The frame fits 3 x  European lamp holders and includes a fitted reducer/converter adapter for UK lamp holders.
This allows the frame to work with multiple common fitting types used in lampshade making.

• B22 Bayonet Cap (UK) – adaptor fitted
• E14 Edison Screw (EU) – adaptor fitted
• E27 Edison Screw (EU) – adaptor removed
• E26 Edison Screw (US) – adaptor removed

Advice for installation 

The fitting ring has three bends to attach support wires. See display images.
Use Galvanised Suspended Ceiling Wire 2mm with Hooks, Eyelets and a standard crimper toolset to install on ceilings.
